This beautiful 5 bedroom house lies in the Cumbria countrysides in the middle of a farm. We booked Heggerscale House for 7 of us to spend 4 nights as we were taking our friends on an adventure in the Lakes as they had never visited before.
Things to do
This house had a lot of things to do and what we loved about it is that it was very private. There are neighbors but they were very quiet and the houses are spaced out nicely. There was a ton of games and DVD’s, it had a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ accessories which made it fun to hang out in the garden. The best part about this house is that it came with a sauna and jacuzzi, where we spent endless house.
Location
We explored Ullswater and Black Moss Pot whilst we were there and it was around an hour’s drive from the house which we didn’t mind as the country drive is beautiful. A few of the days we spent in the house BBQing and using the sauna and jacuzzi. The local shops are about a 10-minute drive from here. I would not advise booking this place if you do not drive.

Summary
This place was perfect for accommodating such a big group and at the time perfect because they accepted dogs which my friend was going to bring her 2 pups but in the end did not come. The price was reasonable and the owners left us a little basket full of goodies. The only issue we had was no wifi so it was difficult to find places on google maps when we wanted to head out. The second issue which cannot be helped is the smell of cow manure, the smells not there all the time but it comes in waves and can be very of putting. I would stay here again but if you are exploring the Lake District I would recommend staying closer to the lakes.
