Airbnb – Cosy Studio Apartment, Lake District

This self-contained apartment was hidden away in the back streets of Penrith. It felt very cozy, with a relaxing ambiance. We stayed here as it was cheap and convenient to access the Lakes.

Location

This little studio apartment is located in Penrith, which is a 45-minute drive and a 2-hour bus journey to Ambleside and Windermere, Lake District Nation Park. There is parking nearby and the host will provide you with a disc parking badge. The restaurants and supermarkets are so close, less than a 5-minute walk away.

Room – Self-Contained Apartment

The room is self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and an ensuite bathroom. It was fitted with a double bunk bed with the cutest fairy lights giving it that cozy feel. The vibe in the room was chilled and relaxing. The room had an old antic smell to it. To top it off we had access to free WiFi, a wide range of books, and DVDs around the room which was a nice touch.

Check-In

This is a self-check-in accommodation with a lockbox. Our host provided us with the lockbox code before arriving at the property. We had no issues getting in. Very easy to find and access the property with great direction from our host.

Host – Gabriella

She provided us with fantastic service. Her responses were super-fast and helpful.

Summary

This place was very convenient and good value for money for us as staying nearer to the Lakes was too expensive. I would recommend this place if you want to stay in the Lake District on a budget and only if you drive. The only fault that we found was that a few of the dishes were unwashed and it could have done with a hoovering, but that was not a big deal we just washed the dishes before using them. The room came with an oil radiator, this did not heat the room but luckily I read the reviews before arriving and decided to bring my own blow heater. This was much needed. Would we stay here again? Yes, we would!
