OYO Beverley Hotel – Blackpool

Last minute and CHEAP!! The OYO BEVERLY HOTEL is listed as a 3 star hotel located in Blackpool. I personally think it’s far from a 3 star. But with that said, if your just looking for somewhere to rest your head for a night at a cheap affordable price then this is the place for £28.80 for 2 people. I also had a £3 discount with my GENIUS saving rewards from Booking.com!

Location

Birdseye view of blackpool at night

This hotel is in the perfect location as its only a 5 minute walk from Blackpool’s most famous attraction, The Blackpool Tower which is situated right in front of the shopping centre and arcades. There are some great restaurants about the same walking distance and the sandcastle water park and pleasure beach is easily accessible from the hotel, just catch a tram on the beach front. Its only a 7 minute walk away from the hotel and head down to the strip for some fun.

Room

The room was extremely basic. A double bed with some clean white sheets. Two side tables with some very dusty, old fashion lamps. The space between the wall and the bed is just enough space for your body to fit in . There is a window above the bed which didn’t shut properly and is arms length away form the opposite hotel room. Obviously this is not the most private room you could ask for. You get your very basic amenities, tea and coffee with a random set of cup which we didn’t quite trust using. The bathroom was relatively clean with a shower, toilet, sink and two bath towels but nothing special.

Bar and Restaurant

Bar and restaurant

There is a breakfast area downstairs of the building but we did not really want to eat at the hotel after seeing the room. Also, because the town is so close by we’d rather just walk the 5 minutes and grab breakfast. They also have a bar behind the reception desk where you check-in. Yet again, if the room was anything to go by then we thought it wouldn’t be wise to use the bar.

Summary

Overall if your just looking for a bed for the night you got yourself a barging. this isn’t a luxury hotel its just somewhere to sleep. We personally wouldn’t stay here again. the staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is also in the perfect location but can do with an update and a coat of paint. You can check out our vlog on YouTube about our road trip to Blackpool to have more of an insight of the hotel.
