Hotel Royal China Town – Bangkok

Hotel Royal

Hotel Royal is a bright hotel that stands out from the rest of the building in the centre of china town. The hotel is in the central of china town and the flashing lights is what makes it stand out from the rest. Hotel Royal China Town was rated as a 4 star hotel on booking.com, I think everyone has different experience depending what room they stay in.

Location

The location is perfect if you like being in the centre of the busy streets of Bangkok. There easy access to the subway and train station, and you can catch a grab or tuk tuk anywhere along the street. We visited the chatuchack weekend market which was only a 15 minute drive in a grab taxi. There is a 7 eleven next door to the hotel. Who doesn’t love a 7 eleven.

Room – No windows

The room was nice and clean with 2 twin beds. It was very spacious and it came with basic amenities, it had a mini fridge which was handy for out drinks. This room has NO WINDOWS, which made it feel very claustrophobic and stuffy. That’s a shame because I bet the view would of been fantastic. Also the lighting in the room was very dim so this didn’t make it feel any better.

Facilities

At the entrance of the hotel it has a well presented bar where you can enjoy a delicious cocktail. The best feature of this hotel was the roof top pool with an incredible view of busy china town. There was also a roof top restaurant serving international food and the staff were lovely. If you like to keep fit, you’ll definitely enjoy the gym here.

Summary

If we were to every return to this hotel we would definitely have to stay in a room with windows. Overall we really enjoyed sitting at the roof top pool with a cocktail, taking in the view. Hotel 8/8 in Thailand!
