1. The most important thing when car camping is to know if it is legal to camp in that spot.
2. Take cooking equipment (gas cooker) and easy cook food.
3. Bring a cooler box for your food and drinks.
4. Never cook in your car to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
5. Be equipt for the weather change as this is the UK after all, bring warm blankets and clothes you can always. Take off your layers if you get hot. In addition, take a mattress (mattress topper) and pillows.
6. Always have your window cracked open slightly to have enough ventilation. Try to avoid car camping on very hot days.
7. Make or buy curtains for privacy.
8. Take battery-powered lights and do not use your car lights to avoid having a dead battery.
9. Tell someone (family or friend) where you are going for safety purposes.
10. Always clean up after yourself like you were never there.
