Eden Andalou Aqua Park & Spa – Marrakesh

On our visit to Marrakesh we stayed all inclusive at Eden Andalou, a luxury 5 star hotel, beautifully designed with Zelige tiles, featuring six riads, 3 out door swimming pools, an aqua park and spa all for a reasonable price!

Location

Eden Andalou - birds eye view

This hotel was in the perfect location for us, situated just 15 minutes away by car from the hustle and bustle of the busy Medina. This hotel is perfect to just unwind, soak in the sun, laze around and just enjoy yourself. Its in a remote location surrounded by nothing but desert and one road out, the hotel does a really good job of making you feel safe due high security measures. The massive front gate at the hotel is manned by guards 24 hours and there is a massive wall build around the whole hotel which really secludes it.

Room – Standard Double Suite (Ground Floor)

Eden Andalou - Hotel room

The room absolutely smashed our expectations, the bed was huge, I’d like to say king sized but it might have been bigger (it was that big). It came with a separate seating area, a walk in wardrobe/dressing area and a massive luxurious bathroom. You even have your own patio with tables and chairs which gives you easy access to walk straight out of your room and into the pool area. You get your basic amenities such as creams, soap and shampoo.

Facilities

Eden Andalou boasts its own private water park which is actually pretty impressive, unfortunately we didn’t get to use the water park as it doesn’t open out of season (November). What we found unique about this hotel is the 6 riads it has spread out around the grounds so you still get that authentic feel of Marrakesh. It also has 3 pools and its own spa at an additional cost, we didn’t have a chance to check out the spa as we were too busy exploring.

On the weekend they have a DJ and host games like darts and quizzes to get the guests socialising which we found really cool. Whilst on the point of socialising Eden Andalou also has its own night club. The hotel offers a FREE shuttle bus service to the main centre of Marrakesh (Medina). They also offer a money exchange service which could have been helpful if they actually had some money to exchange, we waited two days to change our money there. It also has its own souvenir shop but the prices are quite high so we’d recommend taking the FREE shuttle bus service to the Medina and having a look around the Souks. Staff are friendly and more than happy to help you sort out tours.

Bars and Restaurants

Eden Andalou - Restaurant

Food Food Food, all we did was eat! As you may know a lot of hotels don’t have the nicest food. Eden Andalou is not like most hotels, there standard of food is top notch. They had fresh food being made in front of you every day, a multi cultural buffet from Chinese food to Middle Eastern and don’t get me started on their breakfast. Every single morning we ate Msemmen which is Moroccan fried bread, very similar to pancake. What a great way to start your day. On the weekends they have BBQs by the pool side.

Eden Andalou has two restaurants, international Atlas restaurant is the main one where all guest can dine without booking & the second restaurant is
Le Fez (Moroccan restaurant) which does require booking and has a smart dress code so be sure to take some long trousers with you if you intend to dine there.

Our all inclusive deal provided us with unlimited drinks including alcohol such as cocktails, wine and beer. The hotel did a great job of providing guests with big bottles of FREE water when requested as it was humid and it is not advisable to drink tap water anywhere in Morocco. Eden Andalou has two bars, The Jazz Bar which is the one we used most is located next door to the club and the Mimosa pool bar is easily accessible from the pool and garden area. We have to be honest, the cocktails sucked so we stuck to wine and beer. We can’t really complain about the cocktails much because alcohol is prohibited outside of resorts in Morocco.

Summary

Would we stay here again? Yes, definitely. The spacious rooms, delicious food, stunning interior design and friendly staff made us feel like royalty. Honestly the staff waited hand on foot from the minute you entered the gates. We’d love to revisit in season when the water park is open! If your ever travelling to Marrakesh we definitely recommend this hotel, you’ll get more than your moneys worth and have an incredible experience.
