What To Do In 24 Hours In Fethiye

Fethiye

If you had 24 hours in Fethiye what would you do?!

First things first you have to grab a full Turkish breakfast, cheese, jam, eggs, olives, the lot. This will have your energy boosted and ready for an adrenaline rush, action-packed day.

Paragliding

To start of your 24 hours in Fethiye why not Jump off a mountain? 1960 meters high, overlooking the blue sea and the Oludeniz mountains you can go paragliding. I was so pumped to tick this one off my bucket list. It was everything I expected and I couldn’t ask for a funnier guide to go down with, Ali from Airbourne. It cost around £80pp and this included all the footage and pictures.

Ancient City Of Telmessos

Next up was the Ancient City Of Telmessos. This was so incredible. All this ancient history overlooks the whole off Fethiye. It was a very cheap experience costing only ₺10pp which is around 45p and you can spend as much time as you want there. Sitting on the edge of this ancient tomb and listening to the sound of the prayers being played over the speakers made us really feel how special this place is.

Ghost Village Of Kayakoy

This village is completely abandoned, not a soul in sight. There was no tourist or locals around due to the time of year we went which was really cool. It went on for miles. We climbed up to the little Chapel at the top of the village where we got a view of the entire village. We could imagine this place was once crawling with hundreds of people only 99 years ago. The Ghost Village Of Kayakoy was unfortunately abandoned because of the Greco-Turkish War between the Christians and Muslims.

This is how we spent 1 day in Fethiye. Looking for a more in-depth Turkey itinerary? Click here
