I wouldn’t call this a cottage, but yes it is in a village and really close to Snowdon. This was a beautiful semi-detached house that felt so clean and airy. It was comfortable and convenient as it was perfectly situated next to all the activities we wanted to do. (check out our itinerary) It is great for 4 people (couple and 2 children) but we ended up having to take a blow-up bed as there was a master room with a double bed and another with two single beds. There was me, Antonio, my mum, and my brother. So my brother slept downstairs in the dining room on the blow-up bed which he was happy with.
Location
This house was situated a 25-minute drive away from Anglesey, where you can find some amazing beaches. 20-minutes from Zip World and a 35-minute drive from Snowdon. There were a few beaches we went to which were around a 1-hour drive away but taking in the scenic drive was all part of the road trip.
Rooms
Their rooms were very spacious and bright. They all had a lot of storage and were perfect as there were 2 toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs. This was handy as my brother was sleeping downstairs and didn’t need to come up to use the toilet. The bathroom was big and the living room was so cozy. My favorite room in the house was the kitchen, as there was an island with chairs perfect for when me and mum were cooking and the boys would play cards and socialize with us. To add, the dining room had a cupboard filled with games to keep you entertained.
Check-In
This is a self-check-in accommodation with a lockbox. Our host provided us with the lockbox code before arriving at the property. We had no issues getting in. We did have to call the host as we couldn’t find the property but with her instructions, it was very easy to find. In this village, all their houses have names, not numbers so this is why we found it a bit difficult at first.
Facilities
This place had a fully equipt kitchen. The garden was a great touch as we had a bbq and ate outside whilst we watched the sunset. It had a washer and dryer, clean towels, and a humungous fridge which was a plus. It also has private off-road parking and 2 ways to access the property.
Summary
I speak for all of us when I say this is where I would stay again if we went back to North Wales. We were very lucky to get a booking here and wanted to stay an extra night but there was no vacancy. Well worth the price we paid for all 4 of us, costing around £375 for 4nights. Everywhere else was more expensive. And the pictures on Airbnb do not do this place justice.
